QRVille gets a new look: sidebar dashboard, dark theme, faster everything

QRVille has been redesigned around a grouped sidebar dashboard and a dark studio theme. All 12 generators are now one click away, every URL still works, and everything is still free and generated entirely in your browser.

QRVille just got a complete redesign. The site now runs on a dark, studio-style theme, and every one of the 12 QR code generators lives in a grouped sidebar - so you can jump from the URL generator to WiFi to vCard without ever going back to a homepage.

All 12 generators, one click away

The old design listed the generators in a horizontal icon strip - fine for four or five tools, cramped for twelve. The new sidebar groups them by what you are trying to do: links and text, contact cards, communication, connectivity, places and events, social and payments. Whatever generator you are on, every other one is a single click away in the same panel.

If you are not sure which type you need, the new Every QR code type explained post walks through all twelve.

A dark studio design

The whole site moved to a dark theme built around the live preview: your QR code sits on the right, updating as you type, while the form and customization options stay out of its way. Less chrome, more contrast, and a design that holds up during long sessions of tweaking colors and testing scans.

Nothing about your workflow changes

Every URL still works. Bookmarked generators, links you have shared, and pages you have indexed all resolve exactly where they used to - this is a redesign, not a reshuffle. The generators themselves behave the same way too: same fields, same formats, same downloads.

Still private, still free

The redesign does not touch the most important part: your QR codes are generated entirely in your browser - the data you encode never touches a server. There is nothing to upload, nothing logged, and nothing stored on our end.

QRVille also stays free forever: no signup, no account, and no expiring codes. A QR code you download today will scan the same way in ten years, because it is just an image encoding your data - there is no redirect service in the middle that can shut down or start charging.

Where to go next

If you want ideas for what to put a QR code on, the use case library covers dozens of real scenarios, from restaurant menus to WiFi cards to event posters. And if you have a file in the wrong format, the converter guides show how to switch between PNG, SVG, JPG, and more.

One more thing: QRVille shares its design system with muxTools, our free browser-based video and audio toolbox built on the same local-first idea. If you work with media files, it is worth a bookmark.
